Welcome Letter

Hi Friends,
Let me introduce myself, I'm Molly a wife, mother, and a new follower in Christ.
Why did I decide to start a snail mail club? I started by watching a YouTube video about a girl who started her own snail mail club, The Tiny Post to grow closer to her community. She quickly found that by starting the club her community wasn't bound by county lines but has now grown internationally. I thought that was amazing, and the nostalgia started kicking in. You see, I was part of the chain mail generation where you were told you'd be cursed for 20 years if you didn't keep it going. And no I'm not talking email; this was snail mail.
Seeing the Snail Mail club immediately brought me back to the time of getting mail you were actually excited to open. And mail that was more meaningful than an Amazon box. I loved everything about the idea but I wanted to make it something that supported God. I wanted to build a community centered on faith.
Over the past two years God has been working overtime to help me find him. It was a long painful road filled with anxiety, depression, and at times, hopelessness, but on August 14, 2025 I declared my faith in him and was baptized.
I don't know about you but my faith is strongest when I am in community discussing what I'm going through, hearing others' testimonials, and seeing how God is moving through us. As I prayed over this project—what would be meaningful, bring us together, and grow our faith—I also decided the proceeds would go to churches in the community we build together. I am guilty of worshipping at the altar of money and wanted this to be driven by faith not a potential ROI.
As I kept praying and thinking about this care package I decided on obvious things to include like (You willn notice soe direct inspiration from The Tiny Post):
- A heartfelt letter rooted in vulnerability & connection
- Stickers for your journal, water bottle, or wherever you see fit!
- A surprise paper good (think bookmarks, mini prints, or a stationery activity)
Additionally I wanted to have our community grow closer together by including a prayer request. I would ask for prayer requests from the community, and would include one in each package. Not everyone will receive the same request and it is my hope that we get so many that every care package has a unique request. I want these care packages to feel personal, a two way communication not just me talking about myself.
And finally I wanted to include a prayer from me to you and your family. As you can see I am a new believer and prayer is still a bit awkward and foreign to me but I still hope to pray over you and your family and grow together in prayer.
Now what can you expect from my letters? As a new follower reading the Bible for the first time I hope to come to you as a friend and share what God is teaching me, what I have questions about, and what he is revealing to me. I hope my early walk with God might give you some laughs, some encouragement, some deep thinking, and maybe even some nostalgia from your walk.
One thing I promise is that these letters will be in my own words from the heart, spelling mistakes and all. I will not use ChatGPT to write or rearrange these for me, I want to show up as authentically as possible which means it won't be perfect but it will be me.
See you in my next letter,
